W26D133 It is Friday. We have one more evening performance I just found out one of my leads is ill and may or may not be there. So I'm going to do a little scrambled today to see if there's anyone who can be up on the role by this evening. I have a couple of people in mind who are fast at learning and maybe picked up the roll along the way. If not, we will. I don't know what we'll do if she's not here, maybe we just have somebody read the lines I don't know. This has never happened before we've had kids get sick but we've always had someone who could step into the role last minute. I think that I need to be more intentional about how I pick those understudies and cast them and make sure that they actually are kids that will pick up the lines, even if they're their friends are not there. So I'm going to hope for the best and alert. Students that might be able to do it like a Katie or maybe for new law, I'm not sure who could sing the role because it's a pretty it's pretty demanding role, but I'm going to see who might be available and willing to give it a try.
And in any case, today I have the kidding around, college students. Theatre Company coming, and that will make my day a little bit easier I mean I'll still have to be present on but at least I won't have to be directing and I can be part and learning and that would be lovely. I also had another thought about how to do costume and makeup that would be less crazed. I'm going to have them put costume on in my room then go to Eva's room and put makeup on, I think that will make it more seamless than if I have them all in here the whole time. And then we can take places have to remind them about the flowers and that's about the only thing that is on my on my brain that I have to organize before tonight. So there you have it. In a nutshell, my day. And I am very tired. So, if I sound groggy at all, that is most likely why.
