Week 1 (full) Day 4
Today the littles come back to school and I really am excited because I do love working with them. I am able to garner more energy when I see the happy little feet and faces. They are happy just to see you and that makes me feel needed and worthy of the job.
I want to make my work with the K1/K2 as creative as I can because at this point I still am able to enjoy my work. Some of the new kids will allow me to work on my K1 curriculum in a way that is renewing and will work with my master's ideas of early childhood education and imagination. I want to find new ways of making my work with children sustainable for me creatively. Sometimes the burnout comes from not having an outlet for my ideas and so it is my hope that I transform my practice this year through the use of some of my work this summer.
The ideas to use from NDI must be adapted to work for my students and maybe even sussed out to use as choreography at some point. It is their imagination and creativity which inspires and leads me. I hope to be the best kind of arts educator for their little lives to grow and develop.
