Yesterday was my first day of classes and they went really well...considering it was about 100 degrees in my room! I only had two classes; an ABA class and one 1st grade. But it seemed like a longer day simply because of the heat.
In the ABA class, I had about 8 kids (bigger than last year) and they all were participating in a respectful and appropriate. They were even surprising me with their ability to think of movement ideas.
In my first grade, I realized my NDI lining up by height was a little too difficult so when I do it again, I will have them line up by the wall and see if they have more success doing the "line up" the NDI way. They are quite young.
I did the warm up, the good bye and 3 challenges. I will need to find music and to work out the "thank yous" more carefully, but I am keeping both. And next week I will bring them into the room with a specific idea.
So today, with one class, it should be a very easy day and I hope to get into the groove of vlogging again soon, as well as my artist's journal, which I have let drop for the last week.
