Begin - Day 8

children at NDI

It has been a full week since I returned to Boston, and the week was spent resting, and getting back into a routine at home. It has been difficult to fitting back in (cooking, cleaning, and other domestic tasks) without feeling I have "lost" something. Last night I finished my passport, and did most of the work processing the receipts from my trip.

The work that I am heading into is my most basic work with getting ready for classes. Because the Kindergarten won't be there the first week, I may have few students on the first Thursday or Friday. It looks as though I only have one class on Thursday (1st grade) and the rest of the time my schedule is K1, K0, and ABA classes (which mostly won't be there).

I am taking the responsibility this year of producing a arts brochure and flyers for my after school programs. I am taking the role of assuming leadership this year. I don't need to be payed for this service to feel acknowledged as a leader. Being a leader means you take the lead. My summer gave me confidence in skills I already have, and allowed me to work on skills (such as dancing again) that had dulled or tarnished along the way.
