Well I thought that Tuesday would be terrible. But I made it through and it actually went better than I imagined. People watched out for me and I got a photo with Jacques. My hero. The whole day was magic from watching the students to dancing, to hearing Mr. D'Amboise say "girl in the back row..." meaning me! I had met Jacques on two other occasions and he is so mindful and present...this is the man that dance for George Balanchine, a lineage that overwhelms my senses with joy, pride, and a sense of honor.
Today I am in co-leading the warm up for the second group with Marie and am excited to be part of the teaching team at last. My knee, though not 100%, is much better. Swelling is down and I am walking more fluidly. I think things will keep improving from here.
While I write this I am already thinking ahead to tomorrow and how the week is coming to a conclusion very quickly. What I thought was overwhelming is possible now.
