No Accidents (day 17 of 29)

My "story" has been about what I want to accomplish. Wanting to perform, dancing, acting, and storytelling happened because I wanted to accomplish that. Now that I am at this point in my life, I want to use each experience to reflect on the life I have and to use my writing to become more connected to the life I have created.

The other day Tom and I were in the Prudential and by chance came upon the story machine, that spits out (on demand) a random story either 1, 3, or 5 minutes in length. I chose the 3 minute story and oddly enough, the main character in the story entitled "Lovely" was a woman named Aurora. That took me aback because, my mother wanted to name me Aurora and I hadn't thought about that in ages. When I realized that my story had a character, named Aurora, in story called "Lovely" I felt it was a sign. The way I am reading it is, I need to write to allow all my weirdly random ideas have a home. That is one of the ways journalling this summer is allowing my childlike, joyous, love of the arts return.
