My revised study outline focuses on children of trauma in the inclusion classroom.
I am fascinated with the social/emotional wellness of our students and what, if any are the effects on the development of our students due to the dance curriculum.

The focus will remain on the first grades, but I with the help of the homeroom teachers and our school's therapist, I will identify 2-4 students in each homeroom (totaling 8-16 students) to track. Students identified will exhibit demonstrable challenges socially and emotionally which impacts their learning. I plan to start this work in our 2nd week of classes, as we begin our feelings unit. We start with basic explorations including that of facial expression and culminates in creating emotion dances as our project.
